I guess it depends the extent of it.   Obviously artists borrow and copy from each other all the time and this is totally fine, but yanno… there’s a limit.   Obviously there’s a point where is stops being ‘inspiration’ and starts becoming a lack of originality, creativity and then turns into ‘theft’.

On a side note most people grow out of copying other artists and find their own voice, so I guess as long as said fan turned what they found interesting in my work into something new then I would never have anything to complain about.
